AWESOME Teacher

November 13, 2025

The Bible is an AWESOME Teacher and I'm a thankful student. When I don’t know what, where, or how, the Word of God provides insight, direction, and strength.

The same is true for the subject of demonstrating my appreciation through praise and thanksgiving.

Psalm 138:1-6 reminds me of this, “I will praise You with my whole heart; before the gods I will sing praises to You. I will worship toward Your holy temple, and praise Your name for Your loving kindness and Your truth; for You have magnified Your word above all Your name. In the day when I cried out, You answered me, and made me bold with strength in my soul. All the kings of  the earth shall praise You, O Lord, when they hear the words of Your mouth. Yes, they shall sing of the ways of the Lord, for great is the glory of the Lord.”

Written in first person from personal experience, these melodious words are like water in the desert.  My favorite part—“you answered me and made be bold with strength in my soul.” That's awesome and just what I need.

The verses say that God magnifies His Word above His Name. I'm not a Bible scholar, but that makes sense to me because powerful words have the ability to impact me at the core of my being by making me feel something. I remember the words people said to me and how those words made me feelboth good and bad.

God's Words make me feel secure.

When I'm not sure how to do something, I go to the Word of God.   Along with everthing else the Bible also teaches me how to show my appreciation to and for God by praising and giving thanks.

I appreciate praise lessons and so many more. Thank you for the Word of God, My TEACHER!

The Bible is an AWESOME Teacher.
