I remember growing up with my father. Every time he saw someone asking for money he would always give them something and encourage me to do the same. He would say, “You got a dollar…you can give the man a dollar.”

I bet the Virtuous Woman said the same thing. Truth is, a closed fist won’t give and can’t receive.

Proverbs 31:20 says, “She extends her hand to the poor; yes, she reaches out her hands to the needy.”

The Virtuous Woman is a generous contributor. To the poor and needy, she is a hand of compassion and a welcomed blessing. She always has something to offer—a warm smile, an encouraging word, and a wealth of information. She uses her resources in support of others.

Her Life My Example

Today’s Lesson: Rebuke the spirit of stinginess. Remember that sharing is caring. Just as God has blessed you, bless others with the means you’ve been blessed with.
