Doxology...Joy

May 29, 2025

Certain Bible verses bring me joy.... Here is my doxology joy.

Growing up in church, the doxology was the final part of the service, after which everyone departed. I always thought doxology meant blessing, but Google defines doxology as a hymn or form of words that praise God.

Jude 1:24-25 is a doxology I’ve heard recited more times than I can count. “Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy, to God our Savior, who alone is wise, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and forever. Amen.”

This scripture brings me joy. Comforting, the words bless God and proclaim God’s blessings upon His people.

No one can keep me from stumbling other than God—that’s a blessing.

No one can present me faultless with exceeding joy other than God—that’s a blessing.

God, alone is wise. God, alone deserves glory. God, alone is majestic, has dominion and power both now and forever.

Blessing from God or praising God—either way I feel joy!

My Doxology Joy.
