To my pleasant surprise, my morning walk was in 60 degree, sky-blue, light breezy weather. It was so amazing I almost walked another mile—not.
I’m a sunshine cool weather girl. Days like today make me hold my head up a little higher and step a bit livelier. Days like today also make me grateful for the rain.
Rain helps us to appreciate sunshine that much more.
Deuteronomy 28:12 says this, The Lord will open to you His good treasure, the heavens, to give the rain to your land in its season, and to bless all the work of your hand. You shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow.
While sunny cool days have its advantage, rain is also a blessing. Rain brings much needed nourishment to the earth. Rain cleanses, hydrates, and allows nutrients to be evenly distrubuted throughout the land. Rain makes things beautiful.
If you are the person who compares joyous times with sunshine and difficult times with rain, know that rain is also a blessing from God. Today’s post confirms that rain is God’s blessing.
Like rain, difficult times have purpose. Designed to strengthen and nourish, difficult times provide training and helps us to exercise our faith. As blessings in disguise, rain is designed to reveal God’s goodness and promote growth.
If your life is experiencing some rain, know that God is up to something great and beauty is on the way.
Enjoy the sunshine and be grateful for the rain.
