Grow Your Faith

· Grow,Faith

In general, when we think of growth, things like growing our confidence, growing our income, and growing our relationships come to mind. But one thought that might not be so immediate or apparent is growing our faith. That’s a big one!

So, how do we grow our faith?

Truth is, growing our faith will only come when we find ourselves in situations that challenge our resources and require us to trust God.

Live long enough, and life will exhaust your human ability. That’s when faith is needed.

Matthew 6:28-30 reminds us of this, “So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?

Worry is tempting—when we can’t figure things out, human instinct causes worry to be our first go to.

Today’s scripture reminds us that regardless of our circumstance, God always has our best interest in mind. We're encouraged to look to God as our ultimate provider and sustainer, because He is just that and more.

Take a look at the flowers growing in the fields. We're much more important to God than lilies. We were created in the very image of God. He cares for flowers—He will take care of us even more so!

Growing our faith means that we'll continue to remind ourselves of God’s love, goodness, protection, and provision—even in the worst of times.

Today's experience is another opportunity to Grow Your Faith. So, don’t worry—God loves you and He cares!
