If we're honest, everyone’s opinion is right in his own eye—each claiming to be his own king, judge, and jury.
This isn't new and it's not a surprise to God. As a matter of fact, the Bible warns us of this and teaches that men will become lovers of themselves, unthankful, and prideful.
Psalms 115:1 reminds us of this, Not unto us, O Lord, not unto us, but to Your name give glory, because of Your mercy, because of Your truth.
Today's scripture reference reminds us that man tends to honor and magnify our own meager accomplishments while failing to acknowledge God's wonderfully amazing works.
Regardless of our earned degrees, personal talent, and abilities to create and build, at best every accomplish pales in comparison to God's. As a matter of fact we should thank Him for enabling and empowering us to achieve success at anything and everything.
Take a look at nature—flowers, trees, lands and seas. God did that!
Take a look at the atmosphere—the sky, clouds, sun, moon and stars. God did that!
Take a look at the animal world—some on the earth others under the earth, some at sea while others fly above. By pure instinct they exist in concert of each other. God did that!
Take a look at the human body—the heart, mind, spirit, soul all working together in miraculous efforts to move, grow, and have its being. God did that!
Now, take a deep breath. As air fills your lungs be reminded that it's not about us or our trite success. It's All God.
Give glory to God for all He has done—It's All God.
