It’s Mind Right Monday….Joy: In Season and Out!
Seasons come and seasons go, but joy is all year-round.
Today’s Mind Right Monday is posted at the end of the day. I think that’s because it’s taken me all day to get here.
Some seasons automatically produce joy—the birth of a baby, graduation and appreciation; the purchase of a new home or car. While those experiences are amazing, life is filled with seasons that don't produce the same emotions. Left unprocessed, seasons of sickness and loss; death and destruction; brokenness and pain have ability to raise doubt cause one to question God.
Seasons come and seasons go, but joy is all year-round. At least it should be. In recent posts, I’ve shared how joy is different from happiness and how situations shouldn’t dictate my joy-meter. I’ve posted how joy is a gift from God; and when I look to God, He has the ability to fill me with His very own joy.
This week will focus on seasons that don’t automatically produce joy. In season and out, I must look to God for grace, mercy, and joy.
Today, I continue to look to God to provide His gift of joy—in season and out.
