Mercy, Mercy Me....

November 7, 2025

I thank God for His mercy—I need so much of it I had to say it twice. Mercy, Mercy Me...

Per Google, the Bible defines mercy as compassion in action, particularly for those who are helpless or undeserving. It is defined as withholding deserved punishment and providing help or forgiveness, and it is central to God's character and a key teaching for believers.

Most Christians don’t talk about sin unless they're pointing to someone else’s. Truth is, all of us are in need of God’s help and forgivenessthat's mercy!

Psalms 118:1 says this, “Oh give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.”

God’s mercy is available for those of us who need it—I need it. Even the worst part of man has an opportunity to receive good from a long suffering, patient, kind, and forgiving God.

God is good. His intentions are always geared towards our best interest. His representation always expresses motives that are uplifting and redemptive. Even His chastenings lead with grace.

God’s nature exudes love and compassion in action. Maybe His hope is that we'd take note and treat others like He treats us. Hmmmmmm....

I thank God for mercy and I honor Him for being so good to me, especially because I don’t deserve it.

Mercy, Mercy Me…. I thank God for His mercy—I need it so much I had to say it twice.
