Shift….Sorry, not sorry.
Due to several personal occurrences this past weekend, there has been a shift to June’s focus. Instead of Marriage Matters, I feel the need to focus on wisdom and understanding with a special emphasis on understanding.
Proverbs 4:7 says this, “Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom. And in all your getting, get understanding.”
In my conversations with a close family member, he used this scripture to point out that we all experience adversity and opportunity. The scripture reminds us to get understanding. Understanding from God helps us to respond correctly to both adversity and opportunity.
For me, that was more than just a light bulb moment. For the next couple of weeks, I want to talk about adversity and opportunity. Truth is, we all experience both.
The real question is do we respond correctly when they (adversity and opportunity) appear?
Are you faced with an adversity? Is an opportunity at your door step? Maybe you are welcomed by both at the same time. Are you prepared to respond correctly?
