How do you invest your time?
Time is God's window of opportunity and it's worthy of investment. Each of us is afforded the same amount of time—24 hours a day; 7 days a week; 365 days a year.
Ephesians 5:15-17 says this, "Be very careful then, how you live—not as unwise, but as wise making themost of every opportunity (redeeming the time), because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is."
There’s usually a short period in time to take advantage of great opportunities. Waiting one minute too long can make all the difference in the world.
We must treat time as opportunities to invest in God’s kingdom work. Idle time, wasteful moments, and fruitless habits allow the window of opportunity to close quicker than we expect.
God's window is opened today—but tomorrow might be a different story.
Take advantage of every opportunity to invest in eternal priorities:
- Create a consistent routine to talk to God and allow timefor Him to talk back to you.
- Spend more time with loved ones and friends.
- Write an encouraging note to someone.
You can only experience so much from the inside. Don’t allow God's window of opportunity to close. Investing your time by getting closer to God and caring for others will always pay huge dividends.
