In a few weeks we'll be celebrating Thanksgiving Day. Let's get started early—acknowledge God, give Him honor, magnify His name, praise Him for who He is, thank Him for all that He has done, and thank Him for not giving us what we deserve.
Revelations 4:8b and 11 reminds us of this,
“Holy, holy, holy,
Lord God Almighty,
Who was and is and is to come!”
“You are worthy, O Lord,
To receive glory and honor and power;
For You created all things,
And by Your will they exist and were created.”
Thanksgiving Day is a time man has set aside to acknowledge our thankfulness to God for His many blessings. Every day our eyes open and our feet hit the floor, God's blessings are multiplied towards us.
At some point, our thanfulness must extend beyond one day or one month. We don't need fancy food, decorations, or a day off to give thanks. Think about God's goodness and be thankful.
God is working to bless us 24/7:365. Our thanksgiving should match the blessings.
Be thoughtful and thankful!
