Opportunity is God's pathway to your purpose. Taking advantage of the right opportunities will yield blessings from God.
We must remember that opportunity comes in different shapes, sizes, and colors. Some may come along with gifts and good times while others present a bit of challenge causing us to stretch outside of our comfort zone or reach beyond what we can see.
God wants us to have a closer relationship with Him. Therefore, some opportunities are laced with a bitter taste forcing us to pray more, read more or even to go back to church.
Opportunities are designed to prepare us for God’s purpose. They require that we learn something new (about ourselves, the world and God) and gain understanding that we didn't have before (about ourselves, the world, and God).
Exodus 9:16 says this, “But indeed for this purpose I have raised you up, that I may show My power in you, and that My name may be declared in all the earth.”
Your purpose was never designed just for you—it must impact someone, somewhere, somehow.
God is a GIVER and He expects that we become givers in return. Each opportunity insists that we take our new found resources to the next level by sharing a part of ourselves with others.
So, see opportunities as blessings—a journey to the next level. Seek God’s perspective on each opportunity that comes your way. Wisdom will help you distinguish between a good thing and a God thing. Gracefully accept the God-ordained opportunities and reject all others.
All that glitters is not gold. Seek God's wisdom and understanding to respond correctly to every opportunity. Be careful. Be alert. Be prepared.
