Faith Says..."Thy Will Be Done!"

God is sovereign. Google defines sovereign as having supreme or ultimate power; unrestricted. While some may ascribe to having ultimate power, no one—but God—can take credit for being unrestricted.

By definition, God is Creator of all things and Sustainer of life. God is boundless—there is nothing He can't do.

God always knows what’s best! Though our minds can't fully grasp it, He has an overall purpose and plan that impacts every created being from the beginning of creation until the end of time.

Luke 8:38 records Jesus' response to the woman's request for a healing, And He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace, and be healed of your affliction.”

No one wants to be afflicted. We all want to be healed. Our prayers to God for relief are always answered. Sometimes God says, “Yes”; sometimes He says, “Wait”; and sometimes He says, “I have a better plan.”

Faith Says....Thy Will Be Done

For the woman with the issue of blood, God said, “Yes”. His answer was another sign that furthered the spread of the Gospel Message through the life and ministry of Jesus Christ.

Our faith in God doesn’t determine God’s response. Our faith in God helps us to handle the outcome that we can't see, because sometimes God’s “better plan” is different from what we expect.

We can always trust God—not to do exactly what we ask, but to accomplish His perfect plan. We can trust Him to supply our every need.

God doesn’t always respond like we think He should, but because of His love for mankind we can trust and count on Him to respond according to His boundless, sovereign will.

Increase Your Faith: Understand that God is Master of the universe. Your faith in God is more about Him than it is about you. Continue to trust God in and through everything.
