It's Mind Right Monday...Game On!
For many, this past weekend marked the official return of football season. Let this be a reminder that summer break is over—Game On.
It's time to get in the game and support those in need.
In Saturday's session Caring for Families: Let's Talk About Domestice Violence, we learned that those who have experienced traumatic situations need supportive people:
- Caring: displaying kindness and concern
- Competent: having the necessary ability, knowledge, or skill to do something successfully
- Capable: having the ability, fitness or quality necessary to do or achieve a specified thing.
In many cases support equates to being available, being a good listening, and guiding those in need to professional resources.
It's time to put your practice to work. Win or loose, play your best game and shoot your shot. Support those in need by extending yourself and learning more about resources that can help those in need.
