Grow Good...Not Weary

June 5, 2025

The reaping and sowing concept is simple. Those who do good will reap good. Those who grow evil, will reap evil.

Isn't it weird how evil-deed-doers never seem to get tired of doing evil? But sometimes the habitual good-deed-doer becomes discouraged, disenchanted, and discombobulated.

Galatians 6:6-10 reminds us of this, "Let him who is taught the word share in all good things with him who teaches. Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. For those who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life. And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith."

The world is filled with all manner of evil—we don’t have to look for it—evil finds us. Those of us who proclaim to be "Believers" should live differently. We should be generous and do good.

When we’re tired of being the only one doing good; that’s all the more reason to keep “good”actions going. Yes, it might seem like our good deeds are in vain. Yes, it might seem like it’s all for naught. But the Bible promises that our good deeds will bear fruit.

Be encouraged. God knew these days would come. Allow the Word of God to minister to your soul by reminding you to stay in the good-deed-doing fight.

Grow Good….Now Weary!
