Mother's Day Legacy:

Grace and Honor

May 7, 2026

Mothering is a big job —the biggest—and it doesn’t come with a manual. Along the way, all mothers have had questions, faced sacrifice, run into responsibility, and made mistakes.

None of us are perfect—we’re all humans being human. As mothers, our rearing plays a huge impact on how we rear our children. Whatever your experience, let’s remember to extend grace and give honor to mothers everwhere.

Proverbs 31: 30-31 says this, “Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing, but a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised. Give her of the fruit of herhands, and let her own works praise her in the gates.”

In my mind, the Bible our best teacher when manuevering motherhood. I'm grateful to God that the mothers who impacted my life were God-fearing women of faith who encouraged me to do the same.

Truth be told, not all mothers received biblically based lessons. For some, we must extend grace and ask God’s strength to show honor.

Demonstrating grace and showing honor are learned skills. While our experiences are multifaceted even the difficult ones lend themselves as lessons that can teach us to do something different and be someone better.

Today, I honor the Motherhood Warriors who gave so much of themselves for their children. I'm grateful for their examplesteaching us what to do and what not to do.

Today, I extend grace to those who's lives were tough and those who may not have been equipped to offer their best selves.

Today, I pray for those reading this post. May God strengthen and heal you to the core of your deepest pain. May He cause you to walk in peace and prosperity both mentally and spiritually. May God bless you to see your mother through His very own eyes, that you may be able to extend grace and give honor.
