Remember

March Gladness

A quick Google search and you'll find this definition of the word, rememberhave in or be able to bring to one's mind an awareness of (someone or something that one has seen, known, or experienced in the past).

What do you bring to your mind from the past? I choose to remember the best. I choose to remember the good. I choose to remember lessons learned that benefit my future.

Psalm 20:7 reminds me of this, "Some trust in chariots, and some in horses; But we will remember the name of the Lord our God."

In my mind, this verse is a reminder that people and things won’t provide a perfect or forever future for us. Only God can do that.

March Gladness

A quick talk with one of my sisters brought to mind the movie,“The Shack.” She reminded me that one of the characters questioned why God would allow good people to endure bad things and bad people to continue doing evil. Her conclusion, “God doesn’t prevent us from experiencing horrible situations because even the hard stuff has the ability to work towards purposeful conclusions.”

So, I choose to remember the best. I choose to remember the good. I choose to remember lessons learned that benefit my future. I choose to remember the Name of the LORD!

Life won’t always be rosy, but God has promised that all things will work together for our good.

Remember the Name of the LORD!
