Women are often primary care givers for immediate family members—many times to the detriment of our own health. Grant yourself the opportunity to think about YOU!

Be mindful of you EVERYDAY! Carve out some time to sit and consider your personal well-being.

First, seriously assess your physical condition. If you're taking any medications, analyze the status of your illness and report any concerns to your physician immediately. Don't wait until tomorrow, do it TODAY!

Next, to the best of your ability, consider your mental health condition. Are you overly anxious or worrying excessively? Do you have difficulty sleeping at night or do you prefer to sleep most of the time? If either of these conditions exist, talk to your physician. Don't wait until tomorrow, do it TODAY!

When you consider your health, you must also consider diet and exercise. Too much sugar and starchy foods will cause our bodies to suffer. Sitting down too much, the lack of exerise can be debilitating. Make a commitment to yourself eat healthier, drink plenty of water and exercise regularly. Don't wait until tomorrow, start TODAY!

Brain health is important too. Consistent television and social media scrolling doesn't enrich brain cells. Our brain is a muscle that grows and expands as we introduce new things to it. Idleness stifles our intelligence. Join a book club, get a hobby, a learn something new. Don't wait until tomorrow, start TODAY!

Finally, if you have any concerns regarding your physical or mental health, please consult your physician as soon as possible. Make sure to schedule and keep regular doctor appointments and communicate everything that you are experiencing.
