You’ve heard the phase “Team Work Makes the Dream Work.” That wasthe case with Naomi and Ruth.
Ruth made herself available to assist her mother-in-law in everyway she could. Naomi provided direction and advice to Ruth. And most importantly, God led them to a place of safety and provided for their needs beyond what they might have expected.
Ruth 4:14-15 says this, “Then the women said to Naomi, “Blessed be the Lord, who has not left you this day without a close relative; and may his name be famous in Israel! And may he be to you a restorer of life and a nourisher of your old age; for your daughter-in-law, who loves you, who is better to you than seven sons, has borne him.”
Seeking God pays off. The Bible refers to us a sheep. The Bible encourages us to come to God as little children. Both scenarios resemble one who is dependent on the guidance of another. Ultimately, God‘s guidance is preeminence, but we also need each other.
Their Lives My Example
Faith in God is rewarded. Together, Naomi and Ruth provide excellent examples for us to follow. Naomi provided a knowledge of God as Truth, Provider, Restorer, and Everlasting Lord. Ruth provided an example of submission, commitment, and obedience. Together, they were blessed with an everlasting legacy.
Team work does make the dream work. As team players, our foundation must be based on God's rock solid truth.
