Joyful Journey

April 15, 2026

I’ve heard people say that joy has nothing to do with circumstance. It has nothing to do with being happy. Joy reflects a position of contentment regardless of personal situation.

Psalm 16:11 says this, “You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore”.

100%, I believe joy is experienced through my connection with God or things controlled by God.

Today's scripture was written by King David. Being a man after God’s own heart did not exempt Him from experiencing hardship. Confidently, David reminds himself that God will lead him and provide him with everlasting joy.

While joy can be experienced when everythings go right; God's fullness of joy is realized through the ability to trust Him when things don't.

If I’m honest, I spend too much time focusing on other things and not enough time focusing on God. A singular focusGod-wardbrings joy to the journey.

People come, people go; situations rise, situations fall; but God remains the same.

Today, I commit (recommit) to focusing more attention on God, to seeking His presence more consistently, and to reaching towards His Right Hand more often.

Today, I choose the Joyful Journey.
