Sisters Inspiring Sisters (SIS) is an opportunity for women to share in the successes and contribute in the support of other women.
Growing up as a child in a Black Missionary Baptist Church, I still remember all the words to every verse of our alter call song, "Pray For Me".
What better way to support someone than to pray for them.
Ephesians 1: 16-19 reminds us of this, “Therefore I also….do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers: that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power”.
This is one of my favorite scriptures. When I think of others (friend and foe), these are some of the words I include in my prayers:
- I thank God for you.
- May He bestow great wisdom upon you.
- May He open your eyes to know and embrace His truth.
- I pray that you experience God’s wonderful blessings of joy.
- May the power of God rest upon you and give you peace in believing.
- I pray that you strive to seek God’s perspective and walk in your greatest potential in Christ Jesus.
